I had tons of fun working with Jeffery Allen on his new album.
He brings in these great songs and allows Ron Simasek and myself to really run with them and have fun with ideas.
The three of us working together is a very natural and organic process.
We set up and play like a 3 piece band would when playing live. As we are recording we work out arrangement and production changes until we all feel good about it and after a few takes we nail it and move on.
After the 3 of us record the foundation tracks, Jeff and I go back and add more layers of guitars and vocals; and whatever else we think the song needs.
