Central Pa’s Counterpoint is back together and just released their new self titled album!  Counterpoint started in 1989 when high school friends Eric Martsolf (https://m.imdb.com/name/nm1007605/) and John Osif recruited guitarist Jim Nowak and bassist Ron Houck to form a band. Their sound was compared at the time to The Fixx, INXS and Billy Idol. In 1991, the band was named “Best New Band in Central Pa” by 93.5 WTPA. Counterpoint played all across eastern PA and recorded up until they disbanded in 1994.

In 2018, the band decided to record new material and release it worldwide. They reached out to Eric, now a successful Hollywood actor, who enthusiastically agreed to take part in the reunion. The new Album, made up of 8 new compositions and 1 from 1991 was recorded at Full Tilt Productions in Mechanicsburg, PA and released on multiple online platforms (iTunes, Amazon Music, etc.) in November 2018. The band has kept their original sound of hard rocking 90s influences and are continuing to write new material and record demos in anticipation of recording a new album in late 2019.

Eric Martsolf recording vocals during our marathon vocal session

We had 2 days with Eric Martsolf to record all the vocals. Lead and backgrounds. We weren't sure how much his voice would hold up because that is tons of singing. He dominated it like a champ and we ended up having time to spare.
